Just a bit short of the goal

I planned to do 33-35 miles this morning. Quit at 11.

I think I need a new hobby. This running thing is starting to suck.

............
Go to Nic's blog and congratulate the new father!

............
Yet another unrelated thing. Rolling Stone magazine just listed the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" (which, by the way, they also did only 6 years ago). Discounting classical, gospel, folk, jazz, blues, world, country and anything before Rolling Stone was first published, #1 for me is the following just because it rhymed "Nemesis" with "Parthenogenesis." I really wish I could find the non-dance version with the two sisters belting out the upper registers.

here's my nickel's worth of advice. go for a run. don't take your watch. just look at a clock before you leave (if you must). run somewhere you have NEVER run before. and just go. break free of the constraints of time & distance.

I haven't had much of a chance to look at the RS list, but so far I disagree with the placement of nearly all 10 of the top 10 songs, including "Imagine" (which should be way lower) and "Hey Jude", which, while not one of my personal favorites, should be either # one or # two.

"A Day in the Life" is # 26?

"Like a Rolling Stone" deserves to be there, but more like in the twenties.

"Waterloo Sunset" should probably be in the top ten.

I skimmed and saw "SFF" but where's "Penny Lane"? Did I miss it?

I have not yet had a chance to think about what's not there but should be. That could take weeks.
