Brief Post (made a bit longer)

My list of "Girls allowed to beat me in ultras" is getting longer; is it because I'm finding more blogs or I'm getting slower? By the way, the reason I'm listing women's blogs and not men's is simply that the women's tend to be better written.

My plans for the year are already getting revised. I thought I was sick. Boy, was I right. I didn't mean those thoughts to be connected.

There's a newbie trailrunner signed up for the UMTR trail series that's FAST. Checking results, he won't be a threat - I mistook a 5K time for a 10K time.

Actual phone conversation:

Me: Hello?
Him: Steve? I can barely hear you. What's the music I hear?
Me: Daft Punk Is Playing at My House.
Him: G__! You're the luckiest s.o.b. on the planet! I suppose you got them to move furniture and bring their own beer, too.
Me (turning the volume down): No, you idiot. The song's called "Daft Punk is playing at my house."

OK, Steve, are you going to elaborate on the "I thought I was sick. Boy, was I right." comment? You make it sound like a possible effect on your training and racing.

Yeah, that comment has me a little worried too...

I am blaming any and all malaise on the sub zero weather for the past month.

It'll pass. It always does!
