A couple of years ago, I decided to write my book on training on this blog. When it was completed, exactly two people thought it was genius. The most common response, however, was: What am I supposed to do with that?! It's been long enough since then [btw, that came out as "than" when I typed it - it's the keyboard!] that I have an entirely new audience, save a few diehards, and I could try it again, this time focusing on practicality.
It'll be a fun challenge, to try to write for those just starting and for seasoned pros, for those running track 5K's, road marathons and trail 100 milers. I expect I'll lose everyone on the first post, which I think will be "How to find your best distance."

I would enjoy reading that. I've looked at some of your old posts and enjoy how you get down to first principles (even if I'm at a loss about applying much of it).
Will your posts be focused on how to run well/ run enjoyably / improve your running? Or on how to WIN? Because you definitely seem to have a front-of-the-pack perspective. As a relatively new and untalented (but persistent) runner, my interest is more in the former than the latter.
ok, I'm in... just throw us a picture of a redhead now and again.
I always enjoy your training posts, but I'm with Robyn on difficulties fitting these things into a training plan. I'm also prone to over-training, so too much information might be a bad thing for me :)
"How to find your best distance."
I already know mine. It's "staring off into the middle ..."
As for your other questions:
Ben Revere: I have loved this guy ever since I first saw him in that video way back in 2011 when he hit a ball down the right field line and tripped over second and did a somersault and landed on his feet and slid safely, head first, into third.

I loved that play. I coveted him from that moment.
I don’t follow any twitters anymore, but evidently, Ben tweeted a picture of his first ever Philly cheesesteak. Only problem: it clearly is NOT a cheese steak. It’s like the guys at Chickie’s & Pete’s said, “Let’s have some fun with the noob” and put random floor-sweeping on a hoagie roll and sold it to him as a cheesesteak.

Welcome to Philadelphia, Ben
As for Sandy – we muddled through, having lost electricity for a mere 3 days. A ton of other people weren’t as lucky.
Ian actually has zits on his face. ZITS. So yeah, not a kid anymore.
Thanks for welcoming me back. But I’m not sure I’m back. I just had to blog about the World’s Best Beer … for reasons that should be obvious to everyone except that douche lambic guy mentioned in the article.
