Ask Steve Anything

There's a game of tagging going around and I've been tagged 5 times. Those tagged are supposed to say 11 random things about themselves (that's a pretty standard post in these parts), answer 11 questions by the tagger, then come up with questions of their own and tag others: Blogger's version of a pyramid scheme. I've been answering people's questions in comments, but not otherwise playing the game.

The questions people ask is more revealing than their answers. You get to find out what interests them. If (and I repeat if) I played along, my questions would probe how people think, because that's what interests me most.

I'm always surprised when I meet someone who reads this blog and they tell me that they find me intimidating on the web. In real life, except for the deadly serious look I sometimes get while running, people do not find me intimidating at all. The more you know, the less intimidating, I guess.

Instead of posting random things about myself (do you really care that the unlabeled movie in my nightstand is "Kolchak: The Night Stalker?"), I thought I'd open the blog up to other people's questions.

Go ahead, ask me anything. [One warning: "What do you do for a living?" is a wasted question.] I doubt I'll get inundated with questions, but if I do, I'll answer the 11 most interesting ones.

What is your stance on multiple "wives" do you think it would make for happier relationships?

We'd NEVER be interested in the fact that you own (if not watch) a supernatural crime drama that only got one season on television the year I was born and somehow inspired The X Files.

No. That's not interesting at all. ; )

How many dimensions are there?

(I'm only asking a question so you don't feel the need to answer Glaven's ;))

Is your right shoulder dislocated in the picture at the top of your blog? I mean, it looks extra long and oddly bent.

(That last sentence deserves a 'thats what she said')

Question #2...when will you agree to coach me?

Hmmm, here are two off the top of my head:

#1: What did you study in grad school?

#2: If you could coach the runner you were 25+ years ago (the one whose logs you posted recently) what would you have him do differently?

What advice do you have for a road runner signing up for a trail half-marathon?
