Taking a break. Packed my bags (trapeze, handcuffs, malt liquor and some pill with an "E" on it), got the bail bondsmen on speed dial, tossed the house plants in the trash. Off to run the Chiwaupee.
Congrats to Katie McGregor - 2:31 and 11th place at New York City Marathon.

Is it E-agra?
Love the Chiwaupee! Good luck, Steve! :)
One of the drawbacks of living in Denmark is we can't run the Chiwaupee. Hope it goes as horribly as usual. Remember there is always the cotillion to look forward to at the end.
I was just looking up the results of the Milwaukee marathon and saw it was THERE Wynn Davis had his 2:33. I love that race. By the way - speaking of Wynn - do you have any news on whether there will be a Chippewa 50k this year?
WOW - Wynn ran a 2:33 - that is AWESOME!!!
Chippewa 50K will be put on again by Jeff Allen (& Vacation Sports) - last I heard it was likely to be Easter weekend - the 23th I think. Don't want to clash with Zumbro (9th) or Trail Mix (16th)
@ Helen - the 23th, huh? Is that Irish for 23rd ;)? No, seriously, thanks for the info - I found one website that said April 11th (it was Vacation Sports) and that's a Monday. Maybe they meant April 9nd?
Should we send another search party after Steve? I hear the first three never returned ...
Thanks for the kind words, but not satisfied until I run 2:25ish. Next year hopefully. Milwaukee is a good race put on by good people. I ran too conservatively. Good beer and grub at the finish too.
Jeff Allen and Vacation Sports direct the Chippewa 50km. I handed it over to Jeff last year.

All right, Steve. First of all, good luck with the cotillion; I will look forward to the report.
Did you check out the 100K Worlds where the Danes took 7th, putting three guys under 7:30? And Jonas Budd of Sweden took second in 6:47?
Jamaican bobsled team...
There better be goddamn pictures of the cotillion this year or I am boycotting this blog for at least...
umm...
3 maybe, 4 days!
Don't test me SteveQ! I will do it!
