Coal Mining in Pop Culture

The West Virginia coal mining accident got me thinking (always a dangerous thing):

Best coal mining novel: "Germinal" by Emile Zola
Best coal mining movie: "How Green Was My Valley" directed by John Ford
Best coal mining song: "1910 Coal Mining Disaster" by the Bee Gees
2nd Best coal mining song: "16 Tons" by Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Yikes! Didn't realize there had been an actual disaster so I deleted my comment for being in pretty poor taste, considering.

I don't really watch the news much.

My header pic looks like a coal miner!

@G: How could a guy who has hundreds of things in his Google reader get his actual news from a running blog?

When did you allegedly attack triathletes?

I had to look it up the alleged badmouthing myself. I plead not guilty; I DID make fun of some clothes, including arm panties, where it was said.
