This week in training slowly

Monday 7 miles in 65
Tuesday 7 in 59
Wednesday 0 miles
Thursday 35 in 6:30
Friday 6 in 59
Saturday 7 in 65
Sunday 4 in 37

It's discouraging to be running 2-3 minutes per mile slower than two years ago, but I have to start somewhere and I need to get the miles in before I can hope to start running fast again. That 35 miles in the arctic air was NOT fun.

For those fans of "The Biggest Loser," I dropped 3 lbs. this week. Would 1.87% keep me above the yellow line? My New Year's resolution was to not eat ice cream and potato chips while watching the show, as much as I enjoy the irony.

I would say Mr. January has returned with that 35 mile run.

Don't forget to leave something for the races!

Ah, Matt, Mr. January is nowhere to be seen. He'd've either run 20 in 2:20 or 45 in 6:00 (both of which I did last January). I blame the diet.
