Schedule

Just found out the Fab 5 Fifties made Stan Jensen's run100s site! And I'm quoted in the April "Ultra Running" mag! It's gonna be hard to run with this swelled head...

Latest race schedule

Here's my plans for the season, as of today. After the first race this weekend, maybe all bets will be off.

April 12 Chippewa Moraine 50K
April 19 Trail Mix 50K
May 3 Runnin' in the Ruff 10K
May 10 Ice Age Trail 50M
May 17 Superior Trail 50K
June 7 FANS 24-hour (gasp! pavement!)
June 14 Sour Grapes 1/2-marathon
July 5 Afton 50K
July 26 Voyageur Trail 50M
Aug 16 Days of Old 10K
Aug 23 Lean Horse 50M
September 5 Superior Sawtooth 100M
September 20 City of Lakes Loppet 5K
September 27 In Yan Teopa 10M
October 12 Glacial Trail 50M
October 18 Nerstrand Big Woods 1/2-marathon

And, if I feel up to it,

April 26 Pine Line Trail Marathon
July 12 Half-Voyageur Trail Marathon

The "teapot 100" will have to wait until next year.

Good luck this weekend, Steve! BTW, where were you quoted in Ultra Running mag? I read through it and missed it somehow. I hope to get a chance to meet you at the Trail Mix. Looks like your plate is rather full this season!!

Will Superior be your first 100 miler?

Good luck this weekend!

The Fab 5 Fifties Ultra Series press release was edited and printed in the April edition of Ultrarunning Magazine, page 56.

There is a piece on a small Ultra, the Western States 100, next to it.

Quite a summer you've got planned there, Mr. Steve!
You may win in BOTH trail series.

I did notice a weekend or two where you weren't running a scheduled race. What??
Are you slacking off already???

See you Saturday Morn at Chip-Mor.

Kel, I'm hoping that FANS will be my first 100 miler; otherwise, I'm joining Adam, Matt, Helen, Carl and two dozen others trying to make Superior their first!

Phil, those rare weekends off will probably be spent cheering people on at other races - I have a couple of duathlons/triathlons already scheduled. And maybe I'll get my lawn cut some day. And thanks for the permission to win both series...

Wow, what a race schedule that is! Best wishes and good luck with your training, Steve.

That Chippewa Moraine race this weekend ought to be interesting, given the current weather situation. Will they allow the use of snowshoes? :)
