Stamina shmamina

This week's training:

Monday - 3 miles
Tuesday - 8 miles with 4x1200m @5K pace -400m
Wednesday  - 3 miles
Thursday - 8 miles with 16x100m @ 800m pace - 100m
Friday - off
Saturday - 8 miles with 8x400m @1 mile pace - 400m
Sunday - 10 miles, last 2 miles at 15K pace

Weirdly, it's the slow miles, the recovery section, that's hardest. I still have some speed (which I thought was gone), but I can barely get through the week's easy miles at any pace. The plan as written above would be ideal if I were training for a 4:45 mile, but I'm around 6:00 now, so the mileage is more appropriate for a 5K.

I may do the Rocky's Run 6K in a couple weeks.

I might also write a novel in November and I might post chapters of it here.

Good luck at the 6k. Training for me is based on my experience, motivation, and age appropriateness. In other words I struggle with the formula often. I am running Boston which means I will have to change things up going through the winter.
