In Praise of Smart Women

A recent poll found that men are more attracted to a woman's intelligence than to her physical appearance. I've been saying that forever!

In a similar vein, here's how my fantasy worked... and how it unraveled.

Kat's treatise on evolutionary economic theory is required reading:
Author's photo from dust jacket.
She occupies an endowed chair at Leipzig University:

[I LOVE that joke.]

She found the Higgs boson:

It was in this cup.
 Her arctic explorations are legendary:

Binoculars, check. Rowboat, check. Style...Czech.

She solved both an environmental problem and a food crisis with her invention:
Edible fiberglass insulation!
 She nearly mastered time travel:

Not all clothing made it back from the Elizabethan era.
It's possible to track down just about anyone on the internet now and I decided to find out what I could about her. That involved a lot of things like finding out what the Slovak versions of OMG and ROFL were. The fantasy ended fairly quickly; she turns out to be little more than a pretty girl. She probably wouldn't get the humor of this post, even if her English were better.

And then I found out what she looks like when not professionally photographed:

Meh.
So... did I mention my latest interest went to medical school? Smart women rule!

C'mon. Somebody had to think that was funny besides me!
