I agree with Coin! Lots of time to train. Or you could just do what I did last year and go to Chippewa and drop out after 10 miles. :). That's not ideal, though.
Steve, if I could "like" that last comment, I certainly would :) I am still throwing around the idea of a 50 k or a 50 mile next spring, and that race is on my maybe list...
Steve, do you mean you wan't be able to run a 50k, or run one like you used to? Can you set your expectations lower? Also, isn't your biological clock ticking?

Good News: The race isn't for another seven months.
Bad news: In seven months, I still won't be able to run 50K.
