It's what's for dessert

I just discovered wagashi. My kitchen may look more Japanese for a while.

Gorgeous. I especially love the persimmon. But, how do they taste?

They look like Japanese marzipan.

When you run 9-minute miles, it's for like 20 miles though.

Big difference.

I loooooove mochi & azuki bean paste & all that.

Now I'm craving the stuff.

I'll be happy to be your test sampler. Seriously.

Ha ha. Glaven, marzipan - exactly. Steve, I am in awe of the fact that you would even consider making something so time-consuming.

2. The cook you like looks quite a lot like Diana. Hmmm.

3. I keep thinking about your hands swelling when you don't drink. My theory is the times you ran and didn't drink, you actually ran harder and sweated (sweat?) more, thus driving down your intravascular sodium despite not drinking and did, you know, a reverse pickle on yourself. Why it's just your hands that swell, I don't know. But it does make me think of the song Comfortably Numb.

You can do a reverse pickle on yourself? Wow! No wonder you don't have a girlfriend! You don't need one!

Plus, dude? Reverse-pickling yourself is TOTALLY gay. Luckily, your congresswoman's wife, I mean husband, can cure you of Teh Ghey.

@Diana: I actually prefer the bunny. This is a borrowed image; I didn't actually eat these. Most are made from glutinous rice paste and sweetened and flavored with fruit and bean pastes. The ones I've had are very soft and fine in texture, with clean flavors.

@SLG: Is there anyone you don't think looks like Diana? Wasn't there some acrobat you were saying that about a few months ago?
