A message for my competition tomorrow

A few nutjobs think tomorrow's the end of the world, so I better get in one more good race while I can. One of my few superstitions is that songs I hear before a run have some mystical meaning pertaining to the run itself. So be forewarned, this is what I've been listening to recently:

That's right, I'm saying if you get ahead of me, you better be able to outrun bullets.

And just to give some creedence to the end-of-the-world theory, my car finally works right. That's got to be a sign of the apocalypse.
..............
Added: I just reread my old race reports. They're pretty good!
2008 Race Report
2009 Race Report
2010 Race Report

No, no. This here is Creedence Re: end-of-the-world-theories.

Because, you see, it's a metaphorical rain.

Your car's working, otoh, gives credence to etc.

BTW, loved the Go the F**k to Sleep article.

The world BETTER not end today! My race is tomorrow! I am so mad.

Anyway, hope you have a great race. We'll be looking forward to the report (if we're all around to read it, wahahahaha).

As I type this I'm guessing you are within 10 minutes of the finish. I checked the race website, and the course record is 1:45 for the 25K. Show 'em how it's done, Steve!!
