Supposedly, on Thursday I'll find out that I'll be having surgery and my year's running is over. I expect that something will interfere with that - something always does. In case I'm stuck where I am, it's time to make contingency plans. I can't heel-strike; power walking (and therefore 50&100 milers are out). I can't run trails. I can't make the sharp turns on a track at speed. That's definitely limiting my possibilities.
