Answering two FAQs.

1) What do you think about while running?
2) Why don't you post many photos?

Yesterday, I went out for a walk in the park (7 miles, 99 minutes, if you care), as I can walk without much pain, even if I can't run - and that's why I'm thinking about very long races where I expect to walk. At one point, I could see a woman walking ahead of me and I saw something that, try as I might not to look, caught my attention - there was something hanging between her legs. At first I hoped it was just bad lighting and my astigmatism creating an optical illusion, but as I got closer, there was obviously something there. The first 5 things I thought it could be made me ill (one was particularly disgusting and I'll spare you that), when I finally hoped she had stuck a cell phone in her spandex shorts.

As I got closer, I could finally figure out what it was. She was wearing a thong, which had migrated over one butt cheek, creating a flab flap that dangled between her legs.

That should answer both questions!

  1. This seriously reminds me of the cruise we just came back from.

Fat, Ugly, Demanding Americans should figure prominently in tomorrow's "Ship of Fools, Part 2".

    Or not.

    Word verification: "trics".

    Of course.

  2. Reason number 457 that you are not allowed to run behind me. (not that I would risk starting a forest fire by wearing a thong on a run. I am an Eco-friendly girl that way)

And furthermore, I will carry the camera for any running photography during our run.

    *shudders*

  3. I'm just hoping you really saw this. Making this story up would require a level of weirdness I can't quite fathom.

  5. @Deb: Follow you? Why, you don't even have a blog I can follow any more.

@SLG: Why would I make that up and why on earth would I print it if it didn't happen? Still, you remind me of Klaus von Beulow being told he is a very strange man - "You have no idea."
