Suppose that's what it's all about, you're definitely living in abundance, or maybe even beyond it. . . Hope to catch you at Spirit Garage on an off weekend, or after a Twin Cities Sunday morning run. Take care, RobAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2796785757974247915.post-18359473905286980112008-05-16T09:30:00.000-05:002008-05-16T09:30:00.000-05:00Thanks for a fun weekend.I will never forget the t...Thanks for a fun weekend.

I will never forget the three of us sitting there Saturday night saying "why do we do this?"

and...

"I can't believe we were stupid enough to sign up for Superior next weekend".

Fun times. It was an odd report, as I didn't describe the course, mention finishing time or talk about the great day others had, but that day was just about me dancing on the edge of the abyss.

I still plan to run Superior Saturday - very slowly. I'm driving up the morning of the race. Anyone up for climbing Eagle Mountain afterward?

Wynn, I'd like to give Ice Age a shot when I've trained specifically for it. Not sure, though, how I could do that in the Twin Cities. I may go back to road 5k's by next year...SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2796785757974247915.post-32368649734527845972008-05-14T17:04:00.000-05:002008-05-14T17:04:00.000-05:00Ahh yes yet another victim of Ice Age's wrath. I'v...Ahh yes yet another victim of Ice Age's wrath. I've been there man. Had full intentions of rocking a sub 6:30 last year and was spot on all the way until Horsemans, until the internal GONG went off and ended up doing satan's death march to the finish. Also having the pleasure of watching Lundblad and Kolb scoot by. Ice Age is a deceiving course where experience on the course truly does reign supreme. Thanks to two years running it and tips from masters on the course who inevitably learned the hard was as well (Szydlik and Hubbard) I think I might have the pieces to put it together next year. The tough part about that course is the fact that it looks so tempting to run super hard the whole way, but there are so many little silent killers that they inevitably will catch up to you if you don't play your cards right. Great report Steve! See you at Superior and hope to be swilling some grog with ya.

O yeah and another thing that makes Ice age a hit or miss is the fact that if you do decided to run it ballz out, there is a good chance you can do something special on the course, but there is also a good chance to bonk. Kim has done well at that course, but it is definitely one course that gives her gut issues. She has had the same problem the last two years there right around Horesmans.WynnManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02160579726657693895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2796785757974247915.post-28377134692031375432008-05-14T11:30:00.000-05:002008-05-14T11:30:00.000-05:00Wow, way to gut it out.
